The Earth is covered with water, yet there is very less amount of it that is used for drinking. This is because human beings are not able to drink all kinds of water. Our bodies strive on clean, fresh water. Water filtration systems are components that can be added to the household supply of water that prevent harmful substances from affecting any drinking water. They are meant to keep human beings protected from dangerous foreign substances present in this water. As there is always a need for water in our lives, this function is very important.

The iSpring RCC7 filtration system, like many others, uses reverse osmosis to purify the water. This process is done through a partially penetrable layer that operates such that any water that is passed through is absolved of inorganic substances.

Five-Stage Filtration

One of the most advanced features of the RCC7 filtration system is the five-tier purification system, which enables the product to offer the cleanest water possible. The quality of materials used for these multiple processes is what makes this appliance so great.

The first tier aims to limit any dangerous materials that are relatively large (5 microns in size) from passing through the water. This is accomplished through a polypropylene sediment layer, which is 10″ big and prevents dust or rust from remaining in the water. The bonus of this filter is that it is encased in a transparent housing which allows the user to see the process occurring.

The second and third stages use carbon filters. The second stage features a GAC or a granulated activated carbon filter, which is made up of natural materials that have a high carbon content (carbon is one of the best and safest materials used for filtration as it absorbs impurities efficiently). Any chlorine present in the water is eliminated and the taste, odor, and clarity are improved. The third stage comprises a carbon block that reinforces the work done in the second stage and ensures that the filter in the fourth stage is not damaged by dangerous contaminants. This extends the life of the reverse osmosis membrane.

In the fourth stage, the high rejection TFC reverse osmosis membrane is a very important component as it is responsible for the deep cleansing of the water. It blocks materials such as radium, fluoride, lead, chromium, arsenic, and bacteria, leaving the water pure and drinkable.

In the end, a polishing inline post carbon filter ensures that the water tastes and smells amazing so that consumption and hydration are guaranteed.

Upgrades

A promising attribute of this filter is that it has been upgraded from its previous setup. Not often do many companies invest in improving their old products as much as iSpring has for the RCC7. This sets a precedent for the manufacturers and shows customers that its products are constantly evolving to become better and better.

The new improvements include a brushed European design faucet which serves a dual purpose of being sturdier and looking good. The manual and installation are more user friendly as there is now a feed water adapter that makes connecting the line containing cold water much simpler.

The automatic shutoff valve which is meant to stop the tank from overflowing has also been improved, and the system has also been provided with a much better storage tank valve. The valve has significantly changed from the old one and is more stable and enduring.

Additionally, there is an alarm which can alert anyone in case of any leak inside the filtration system. Perhaps the most efficient improvement is the larger reverse osmosis membrane which is meant to filter more water more quickly and prolong the use of the system on the whole. It is well-protected and only requires change every 2 to 4 years.

Customers’ Reviews and Conclusion

The iSpring RCC7 is an impressive machine that has been commended multiple times for being reasonable and looking good at the same time (thanks to the new faucet). Moreover, it is found to be a peaceful addition to the kitchen as it is powered by the water pressure and it does not require a power outlet. It also saves energy while ensuring that there is no noise.

Most people trust the components used in the system as they are all NFS certified. The positive reviews of the machine do come from the upgrades made in 2014. These improvements were in response to some of the issues found in the previous system. iSpring addressed these concerns successfully and, in the process, created a competent appliance whose potential cannot be matched by many.

There is also a great appreciation of the water provided by the system. The taste is considered remarkable by many customers. In fact, those who have used it for purposes other than for drinking water (for aquariums and such) have also reported significantly cleaner and clearer water.

If you have any serious inclinations for buying a water filtration system, this one is worth considering. The installation of this model has become much easier since the new manual has surfaced, making this a serious contender for abating any unfiltered water concerns.
